Talia is biracial, the daughter of a Lithuanian mother, Kelly Jackson, a former international actress and model who currently works as a film producer, and a black father, Trent Jackson, a former basketball player.
Talia has suffered from a condition called Lyme Disease, a tick-borne disease since she was 13 years old. She does a lot of work with the "Lyme Alliance" an organization, in which she tries to raise awareness about the disease.
Talia has a younger brother named Armani Jackson, who is also an actor.
